They wander as blind men in the streets, they are polluted with blood, So that men can't touch their garments.

They hunt our steps, so that we can't go in our streets: Our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end has come.

Why do you forget us forever, [And] forsake us so long time?

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yahweh. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.

If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they ravage it, and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the beasts;

Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off from it man and beast;

Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: As the vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And you took of your garments, and made for yourself high places decked with diverse colors, and prostituted on them: [this] should not come, neither should it be [so].

So I will cause my wrath toward you to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from you, and I will be quiet, and will be angry no more.

Look, every one that uses proverbs shall use [this] proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
