R G L Tr marginal reading); (χρόνος); from Aeschylus and Herodotus down; the Sept. for אֵחַר; to linger, delay, tarry: Matthew 25:5; Hebrews 10:37; followed by ἐν with a dative of the place, Luke 1:21; followed by an infinitive, Matthew 24:48 (L T Tr WH omit the infinitive); Luke 12:45.
