In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, "So shall your seed be."

Now the Law came in so that the transgression would increase, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,

so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
