Thus says Yahweh,"Though they are at full strength and likewise many,Even so, they will be cut off and pass away.Though I have afflicted you,I will afflict you no longer.

So now, I will break his yoke bar from upon you,And I will break your bands apart."

So it stands fixed:She is exiled, she is carried away,And her maidservants are moaning like the sound of doves,Beating on their hearts.

You have counseled a shameful thing for your houseBy cutting off many peoples;So you are sinning against your own soul.

"So I will stretch out My hand against JudahAnd against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem.And I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place,And the names of the idolatrous priests along with the priests,

So the seacoast will be pastures,With caves for shepherds and folds for flocks.

I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me,Receive discipline.'So her abode will not be cut offAccording to all that I have appointed concerning her.But they were eager to corrupt all their deeds.

So now, thus says Yahweh of hosts, "Set your heart to consider your ways!

So Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work on the house of Yahweh of hosts, their God,

Then Haggai answered and said, "‘So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,' declares Yahweh, ‘and so is every work of their hands; and what they bring near to Me there is unclean.

But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My slaves the prophets, overtake your fathers? Then they returned and said, ‘As Yahweh of hosts purposed to do to us in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so He has done with us.'"'"

So they answered the angel of Yahweh who was standing among the myrtle trees and said, "We have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth is sitting still and quiet."

So the angel who was speaking with me said to me, "Call out, saying, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, "I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and Zion.

So I said to the angel who was speaking with me, "What are these?" And he said to me, "These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem."

And I said, "What are these coming to do?" And he said, "These are the horns which have scattered Judah so that no man lifts up his head; but these craftsmen have come to cause them to tremble, to throw down the horns of the nations who have lifted up their horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it."

So I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is."

For behold, I will wave My hand over them so that they will be spoil for their slaves. Then you will know that Yahweh of hosts has sent Me.

Then I said, "Let them put a clean turban on his head." So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of Yahweh was standing by.

So the angel who was speaking with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."

So he spoke to me, saying, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."
