a German writer, who was born Nov. 23, 1756, at Kaufbeuren, and died Jan. 8, 1839, at Augsburg, is the author of, Beitrag zur Geschichte der Reformation, des dreissighrigen Krieqes, des westphalischen Friedens u. der Jesuiten, vom Jahre 1524 bis zu Ende des ahres 1699 (Leipsic, 1830): — Ulrich v. Hutten, nach seinem Leben, seinem Charakter u. seien Schriften geschildert (Nuremberg, 1832; new ed. 1858): — Pralat J. Cp. v. Schmid zu Ulm, nach seinem Leben, Wirken u. Character (Augsburg, 1828).
