a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born March 13,1594, at Freystadt, in Silesia. He studied at various universities, and was appointed professor of logic at Beuthen. For five years he had to leave the country, and after his return he was appointed rector at Sprottau. In 1643 he was made deacon at Girlitz, and in 1662 pastor prirmarius, and died Feb. 15, 1669. He wrote, Breviarium Germanice Spyridion seu Sportella Textuum evangel.
