is the rendering in the A.V. of three Heb. words, which have very different significations:

1. נָקֹד, nakod, spotted, as black goats or sheep with white spots, or vice versa (Genesis 30:32-33; Genesis 30:35; Genesis 30:39; Genesis 31:8; Genesis 31:10; Genesis 31:12);

2. שָׂרֹק, sarok, bay, as reddish horses (Zechariah 1:8);

3. צָבוּעִ, tsabua, striped, as the hyena (Jeremiah 12:9). (See COLOR); (See HYENA).
