a Jewish physician, was born at Montpelier, France, in 1796, and died at Versailles, March 17, 1873. He is the author of Loi de Moyse, ou Systeme Relig. et Polit. des Hebreux (Paris, 1822); republished under the title Histoire des Institutions de Moise et du Peuple Hebreu (Paris, 1828, 3 vols.); German transl.
