Ramsay, Edward Bannerman, Ll.d.
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Scottish clergyman and author, was born at Balmain, Kincardineshire, January 31, 1793, and graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge, in 1815. He took orders in the Church of England, and was a curate in Somersetshire for seven years. In 1830 he became minister of St. John's, Edinburgh, and in 1841 dean of the Reformed Episcopal Church of Scotland, He died at Edinburgh, December 27, 1872.
