(Hebrews Mebunnay', מְבֻנִּי, constructive, if genuine; Sept. ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν [apparently pointing מַבְּנִי ], but v. r; Σαβουχαϊ v; Vulg. Mebounai), a person named as one of David's body-guard (2 Samuel 23:27), but elsewhere more correctly SIBBECHAI (2 Samuel 21:18; 1 Chronicles 20:4) or SIBBECAI (1 Chronicles 11:29; 1 Chronicles 27:11).
