Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
an English divine, was born near Havod, Cardiganshire, Wales, April 2, 1752. He was educated at the grammar-school of Ystradmeirig, and ordained in 1774. Having labored in the curacy of Llangevelin and Eglwysvach from 1774 to 1778, he removed to Leintwardine, Herefordshire, England, thence to Longnor, Shropshire, and from this place to Oswestry. His next curacy was Loppington; and in 1785 he was appointed to the living of Creation, Northamptonshire, where he remained till the increasing infirmities of age obliged him to reign his office in 1833., He died January 7, 1845.
