(Heb. Yithlah', יַתְלָה , suspended, i.e. lofty; Sept. Ι᾿εθλά v.r. Σιλαθά,Vulg. Jethela), a city on the borders of the tribe of Dan, mentioned between Ajalon and Elon (Joshua 19:42). The associated names seem to indicate a locality in the eastern part of the tribe, not far from the modern el-Atrun (Ataroth), perhaps the ruined site marked on Van de Velde's Map (last ed.) as Amwas (Nicopolis).
