bishop OF TARSU, lived about A.D. 430. He made himself remarkable by his affection for Nestorius, and was deprived of his bishopric on that account. But it was restored to him again on the condition that he would join himself with those who pronounced the anathema against Nestorius. There are extant of him six letters. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
