(Heb. Chagaba', חֲגָבָא, a locust, a Chaldaizing form; Sept. Ἀγαβά v.r. Ἀγγαβά,Vulg. Flagaba, Nehemiah 7:48) or HAGABAHE (Heb. Chagabah', חֲגָבָה id.; Sept. Ἀγαβά,Vulg. Hagaba, Ezra 2:45), one of the Nethinim whose descendants returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel. B.C. ante 536. (See AGABUS); (See HAGAB).
