an eminent English musician, was born in London in 1696. He composed cathedral music, and made collections with a view to its publication. Before he was twenty years old he was organist of St. Dunstan's, in 1717 of St. Andrew's, Holborn, in 1726 of the chapel royal, and of St. Paulis in 1727. He died in London, September 1, 1755.
