a Presbyterian minister, was born at Ryegate, Vermont, August 22, 1810. He graduated from Jefferson College, Pennsylvania, in 1826, studied theology privately, was licensed to preach in 1831, became pastor of the Ninth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, in 1832, at Hollidaysburg in 1838, subsequently of various other churches in Pennsylvania until 1861, and. died October 5, 1883.
