an eminent Florentine architect, was born in 1691. He resided seven years in England, and on his return to Tuscany was appointed state architect by Cosmo III. He Was invited by Clement XII to Rome, where he erected three superb monuments of art, the facades of S. Giovanni de Fiorentini and S.
