a Jesuit, was born February 24, 1587, at Altomunster, in Bavaria. In 1607 he entered the German College at Rome, received holy orders there, and returned to Germany in 1611. In 1637 he went to Vienna and joined the Jesuits, and died at Tyrnau, in Hungary, in 1653. He is the author of a homiletical work entitled, Concionum Opus Tripartitum, which has often been published (latest ed. Ratisbon, 1879). Besides he wrote, Rerum Naturce Descriptio (Dillingen, 1607).
