a distinguished French painter, was born in Paris, November 25, 1763, and instructed by his father. He gained the grand prize of the Royal Academy by his admirable picture of The Canaanitish Wonman at the Feet of Christ. He died at Rome, February 13, 1788. See Spooner, Biog.
