(Heb. Dannah', דִּנָּה, prob. murmuring, but Furst thinks lowly; Sept. ῾ Pαννά v. r. P῾ εννά, evidently by mistake of ר for ד; Vulg. Danna), a city in the mountains of Judah, mentioned between Socoh and Kirjath-sannah (Joshua 15:49), and evidently lying in the group south-west of Hebron (Keil, Comment. in loc.); possibly the modern ed-Dhoheriyeh, a conspicuous village on the hills west of Wady el-Khulil, consisting of stone hovels with remains of older structures, and surrounded by a fine grazing region (Robinson, Researches, 1:308, 311). Knobel (Exeg. Handb. in loc.) suggests the site Zanuta, but this is probably that of the ancient Zanoah.
