a French theologian, was born at Rheims in 1749. After teaching rhetoric at Charleville, he became curate of St. Hilaire, a village of Champagne, took the civic oath at the time of the revolution, and afterwards retracted. He died in his native city, Jan. 13,1823, leaving, La Constitution et la Religion Parfaitement d'Accord: Reponse des Catholiques a la Lettre de Nicolas Dict. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Gé neralé, s.v.
