Caron, Raymond
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
an Irish theologian, was born in the county of Westmeath in 1605. He entered the order of the Recollets, and studied at Salzburg and Louvain; returned to his country as commissary-general of his order; emigrated when the Puritans were in power; returned at the Restoration, in 1660; and died at Dublin in 1666. He wrote several works, especially, Remonstrantia bernorum contra Lovanienses Ultramontanasque Censuras, etc. (Lond. 1665, fol.): — Roma Triumphans (Antwerp, 1635): — Apostolatus Evangelium Missionariorum (1653): — Controversice Generalis Fidei (1660): — Loyalty Asserted and the Late.
