a Baptist minister, was born in Connecticut, Feb. 2, 1793, and graduated from the Newton Theological Institution in 1832.; He was ordained soon after, and for a time was pastor of the Church at Southbridge, Mass. Subsequently, he removed to Ohio, in which state he was pastor successively of churches in Granville, Athens, and Jackson. He died in the last place, April 2, 1840.
