a Presbyterian minister, was born in County Altrim, Ireland, July 21, 1824. He was educated at Belfast College, and studied theology at the Belfast Theological Seminary. He emigrated to Canada and subsequently to the United States. He was ordained vby the Ouachita Presbytery of Arkansas in 1851, and labored first at Ebenezer and Mountt Carmel, next at Three Creeks, Scotland, and Eldorado, then at La Pile and Carolina, and finally at Arkadelphia, where he died, Aug. 16, 1865.
