(Ἀτθαρίας ), a name given (1 Esdras 5:40) in connection with that of Nehemias (Nehemiah), evidently by the translator misunderstanding the title TIRSHATHA (q.v.) of the original text (Ezra 2:63; comp. Nehemiah 8:9).
