(Ἀσεβίας, comp. Asebia, 1 Esdras 8:48), one of the Israelites who renounced his Gentile wife after the captivity (1 Esdras 9:26); doubtless a corruption for the MALCHIJAH (See MALCHIJAH) (q.v.) of the genuine text (Ezra 10:25).
