a Congregational minister, was born in 1817, in England probably. "In the year 1849 he and other fellow-laborers accompanied Dr. Lang in the ‘ Clifton' to Australia." On arriving at Melbourne, Mr. Anderson was informed of the call for help in a ministerial line at Van Diemen's Land, whither he at once proceeded. For a time be was engaged in supplying the pulpit at Collins Street Chapel, Hobart Town; and afterwards engaged as a colonial missionary in the Richmond district. In June, 1852, he removed to Victoria, and became pastor of Kyneton, where he remained till his death, June 18,1855. Many are the trophies which he won for Christ. See (Lond.) Cong.
