(Ἀμαδᾷθά , Esther 16:10, 17) or: Amad'athus (Ἀμαδαθός, Esther 12:6), the form of the name HAMMEDATHA (See HAMMEDATHA) (q.v.) as given in the apocryphal additions to the book of Esther (these portions being found only in the Vulg. in most editions, although the name is given in the genitive, Ἀμαδαθοῦ , throughout the book).
