(Hebrew Acho’ ach, ‹חוֹח ,ְ brotherly; Sept. Ἀχιά v. r. Ἀχιήλ ), one of the sons of Bela, the son of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:4); called also AHIAH (See AHIAH) (1 Chronicles 8:7), and perhaps IRI (See IRI) (1 Chronicles 7:7). B.C. post 1856. It is probably he whose descendants are called AHOHITES (See AHOHITES) (2 Samuel 23:9; 2 Samuel 23:28).
