(Heb. Adalya', אֲדִלְיָא, probably of Persian origin; Sept. Βαρέλ v. r. Βαρέα , Vulg. Adalja), the fifth of the ten sons of Haman slain by the Jews under the royal edict at Shushan (Esther 9:8), B.C. 473.
