(Ἀκιβά , but most copies Ἀχιφά, for Heb. Chakupha חֲקוּפָא ), the head of one of the families of Nethinim (ίερύδουλοι ,"temple-servants") that returned from the captivity (1 Esdras 5:31); evidently the HAKUPHA (See HAKUPHA) (q.v.) of the parallel lists (Ezra 2:51; Nehemiah 7:53).
