Zeibich, Carl Heinrich
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born at Eilenburg, June 19,1717. He studied theology, philosophy, and philology at Wittenberg, was made magister in 1737, on presenting a dissertation, De Chaldaicorum Veteris Testamenti apud Judaeos Auctoritate. In 1752 he was made professor, and died August 3, 1763. Of his writings we mention, De Lingua Judaeorum Hebraica Temporibus Christi et Apostolorum (Viteb. 1741): — De Codicum Veteris Testamenti Orientalium et Occidentalium Dissensionibus (ibid. cod.): — De Ritu Baptizandi in Mortem Christi, ab Eunomianis Recentioribus Introducto (ibid. 1752): — Σύμμικτα Antiquitatum Tarsicarum ex Scriptorum Veterum Monumentis Collecta (ibid. 1760).
