a Protestant theologian, was born at Plossberg, June 13, 1803. He studied at Erlangen, was in 1830 preacher at Wassertrudingen, and in 1839 pastor at Schonberg, where he labored for twenty-nine years. In 1868 he was called to Unterschwaninlgen, in Bavaria, and died April 5, 1882. He wrote, Ueber gottliche Strafe utnd Strafgerichte (Anspach, 1832): — Systematische Darstellung der Unterscheidungslehre der katholischen und protestantischen Kirche (Nordlingen, 1842): — Der Tod im Lichte der Offenbarung (Nuremberg, 1847).
