a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in North Carolina in 1766. He spent the early part of his life in ignorance and wickedness; was converted at the age of twenty-six; received license as a local preacher two years later; labored with acceptance in that capacity about twenty-four years; and in 1818 joined the Missouri Conference, and worked with success Vincennes and Patoka circuits. In 1821 he united with the Ohio Conference and served on Blue River Circuit until his death, Aug. 27, 1822. Mr. Wallace was not a brilliant speaker, yet substantial and powerful.
