another painter of Udine, Italy, flourished about 1540. Little is known of him. There is an altar-piece, The Coronation of the Virgin, in the Church of San Francesco, Udine, bearing his signature. See Spooner, Biog. Hist. of Fine Arts, s.v.

called Pellegrinio di San Daniello, an Italian painter, was born, according to some authorities, at Udine about.1480; others say at the Castle of San Daniello, about ten miles distant. He studied with Giovanni Bellini during that artist's residence at Udine. Martino died about 1545. He executed many works for the churches and public buildings at Udine and San Daniello, among which are, St. Joseph, with the Infants Christ and St. John, in the cathedral at Udine: Virgin, with several Female Saints and St. John the Baptist, .an altar-piece in the Church of Santa Maria di Battuti: several frescos of the Life of Christ, in the Church of San Antonio, San Daniello.
