a Welsh Congregational minister, was born at Holyhead, February 3, 1821. After being educated at Martin School and Frevdyral Seminary he entered the ministry, serving several churches, the Tabernacle at Liverpool enjoying his ministry from 1854 until his death, July 14, 1892. In 1865 he visited the Welsh churches of the United, States, and again in 1876. He was chairman of the Welsh Congregational Union in 1878, and of the Congregational Union of England and Wales in 1885. He was widely known as a lecturer, and was a frequent contributor to the Welsh magazines, and was always in demand as a preacher at county associations and the like. See (Lond.) Cong.
