a Congregational minister, was born at Hollis, N. H., May 3, 1780. He graduated at Dartmouth College in 1801, entered the ministry Aug. 20, 1802, and was ordained Sept. 12, 1804, pastor at Newport, R. I., where. he remained until May, 1814, when he resigned and became co-pastor in Wethersfield, March 27, 1816, but, on account of his voice failing, was dismissed in 1840, and removed to Northampton, Mass., where he died, Sept. 28,1847. He acted as agelit for both the American and the Massachusetts Colonization Society. His publications were Two Discourses on Baptism (1816) and a few Occasional Sermons.
