Spieker, Christian Wilhelm
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Protestant divine of Germany, was born April 7, 1780, at Brandenburg. He studied at Halle, where in 1804 he was also instructor at the paedagogium. In 1809 he was made professor of theology and deacon at Frankfort-on-the-Oder, in 1818 superintendent and first pastor, and died there May 10, 1858. Spieker was a voluminous writer.
