Shegog, William a.

a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was born in Rutherford County, C., Nov. 8, 1821. He professed religion in 1843, was licensed to preach about 1850; and in 1853 was admitted into the Alabama Conference. He located in 1807, was readmitted into the Alabama Conference in 1859, and in 1860 was transferred to the Texas Conference. He labored in Texas until shortly before his death, April 28, 1864.
