a Presbyterian minister, was born at Stillwater, N.J., May 9, 1787. He graduated from Princeton College in 1808, studied theology under Reverend Dr. Woodhull, was licensed to preach in 1810, served twon years as a missionary, and thereafter as pastor at Newton (with the exception of three years at Middletown Point), until his death, November 12, 1853.
