a German theologian, son of Johann Adolf, was born in Hanover, January 2, 1753, and died November 13, 1831, member of consistory. He wrote, Ueber den Geist der Religiositat aller Zeiten und Volker (Hanover, 1819, 2 volumes): — Kirchen- und Reformnationsgeschichte von Norddeutschland und den hannover'schen Staaten (1828-32, 3 volumes): — Kurhannover'sches Kirchenrecht (1801-1806, 5 volumes).
