a Puritan divine, was born in 1573, and was educated at Christ's College, Cambridge, of which he was chosen fellow. He became minister of Haversham, Buckinghamshire, and afterwards of Weathersfield, Essex. His death took place in 1652. His publications are: David's Cost (Lond. 1619, 8vo): - Practical Catechism (ibid. 1633, 4to; 1640): — Baptism and the Lord's Supper (3d ed. ibid. 1635, 4to; again, 1636): — Matrimonial Honor (ibid. 1642, 4to): — Naaman the Syrian (lectures on 2 Kings 5:9-15) (ibid. 1642-50, fol.): — Prediction concerning King Charles I and Archbishop Laud (ibid. 1692).
