a Protestant theologian of Switzerland, was born July 17, 1789, at Crassier, Vaud. In 1812 he was ordained, and acted as preacher at different places. In 1825 he founded an independent Church at Rolles, in which he labored till his death, March 7, 1847. Rochat wrote, Meditations (1832): — La Nature, la Constitution et le But de l'Eglise du Christ (1837): — Meditations sur Diverses Portions de la Parole de Dieu (1838): — Oeuvres Posthumes (1848).
