a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Rostock, March 19, 1717. He pursued his theological studies at the university of his native place, was in 1743 professor at Kiel, in 1747 court-preacher at Euitin, in 1754 professor at Rostock, and died December 26, 1766. Besides several. volumes of sermons, Quistorp published, De Christo Legem et Prophetas non Solvente, sed Implente (Rostock, 1759): — De Sacris Poenitentiae Victimis Jansenistarum (1760): — De Recentissima Loci de Angelis Bonis ex Theologia Dogmatica Proscriptione Telleriana (1764).
