Piscator (i.e., Fischer), Peter
a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born at Hanau, April 7, 1571. He studied at different universities, was for some time professor of Hebrew at Jena, in 1605 professor of theology, and died January 10, 1611, doctor of theology. He wrote, De Baptismo: — De Eterna Praedestinatione Salvandorums: Problemata Sacra: — Comm. in Formulam Concordiae: Dissertationes in Libros Symbolicos: — Quaestione Miscellaneae Hebraeo-Chaldaeo-Syriaco-Graco-Latinae: — De Peccato e Psalmi 51.
