Pfeiffer, Joachim Ehrenfried
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
or a Lutheran theologian of Germany, and father of August Friedrich, was born at Giistrow, Pomerania, September 6, 1709. He studied at Rostock, and commenced there his academical career in 1737. In 1743 he accepted a call to Erlangcen as professor of theology, was made doctor of theology in the same year, and died October 18, 1787.
