a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Neustadt-on-the-Aisch, May 24, 1730. He studied at Erlangen and Halle, and acted for some time as teacher at different schools. In 1779 he was appointed to the pastorate at Dottenheim, and died January 28, 1784. He wrote, Explicatio Psalmi Secundi (Culmbach, 1771): — Super Matthew 16:18 (ibid. 1772): — De Miraculis (ibid. 1774): — De Loco Romans 9:18 (ibid. 1776): — De Immortalitate (ibid. 1779): — In Philippians 4:13 (ibid. eod.).
