a Reformed Dutch minister, was born at Jamaica, N.Y., May 10, 1812. He graduated from the University of the City of New York in 1836, and from the Union Theological Seminary in 1839; was ordained August 20 of the same year, becoming pastor at Montville, N.J.; went to Grigstown in 1843, to Harlem, New York city, in 1848, and died there, April 2, 1869.
