a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Dantzic, February 19, 1743. He studied at Leipsic, was in 1772 second preacher at his native place, and died Nov. 5, 1795, leaving, Predigten (Dantzic, 1770): — Beitrag zur Kenntniss seltener und merkwurdiger Bucher (ibid. 1776, 2 volumes): — Nachrichten zur Bucher-und Munzkunde (ibid. 1780-82, 4 vols.).
