(also known by the Latin name Fayus), ANTOINE, a French Protestant minister, was born at Chateaudun about the middle of the 16th century. He became professor of philosophy at Geneva in 1570, and rector in 1580. He was transferred to the chair of theology in 1584, and died in 1615. In 1587 he took part in the composition of the Preface to the French translation of the Bible.
